There is one Power, one Presence, one Source of all that is, ever has been and ever will be. It is the Beloved One, the Almighty One. It is the Creator, delighting in giving of itself, endlessly giving, unconditionally giving to that which it creates; manifesting and expressing Thereas all that it creates. It is all love, intelligence and creativity.
The Beloved One is right here, present wherever I am, expressing in and through and as me. It is the life that I am, the love and intelligence, the wisdom that I am.
As this is true for me, it is true for each and every person sharing this planet. The Beloved One, the Almighty One deslights in expressing in and through, and as each person.
With the prayer I claim, for the collective of all of us sharing this planet, a renewed and expanded clarity of our interconnectedness and our interdependence. We are each and every one of us inseparably part of the One. There is no way for anyone to be separate. There is now way for any action to be separate. We are all connected always. Our actions,each action, is connected one to another. With this renewed and expanded clarity we recognize the need to live in peace and harmony.
With this prayer I recognize Love expressing itself as each person. I know each and every one is surrounded and enfolded in Love. Each person is Love expressing. For, as Ernest Holmes taught us: "Only love knows love, and love knows only love."
I am filled with gratitude for this word of prayer.
I confidently and completely release it into the Law of Mind that makes it so.
And so it is.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
AUSTIN CENTER FOR SPIRITUAL LIVING is a spiritual community growing together in Love and Joy.

At the Austin Center for Spiritual Living we include everyone in our vision of a peaceful, loving world.

We are open, receptive, and welcoming of all people, all faiths, and all paths to God.

We believe that there is One Force, everywhere expressing Its infinite nature, and that this Force is called many things: Energy, the Universe, the Creator, the Great Spirit, or simply God.
-
We believe that God operates through a Universal Mind. All people are surrounded by this Universal Mind and all of us share unlimited access to it.
-
We believe that through this connection to the Universal Mind, each of us is called to a higher state of conscious expression. Every day we can become more aware that we are expressions of God.
-
We envision humanity awakening to the Creative Power of thought; a world where each and every person discovers his or her potential, A WORLD THAT WORKS FOR EVERYONE.

The truths within the Universal Mind include health, abundance, security, love, peace, and happiness. And because our individual minds are part of the Universal Mind, these truths are part of our natural state and pervade every aspect of our lives. By claiming these truths and acting confidently on them, we bring them into our personal reality.

The present expression of our beliefs is rooted in the 19th century New Thought movement, shaped by Ralph Waldo Emerson and others. These thinkers emphasized an indwelling Presence, instrumental in all physical and spiritual healing.
-
Such ideas stirred the the thought of Ernest Holmes (1887-1960) and led to his formulation of a philosophy he called The Science of Mind. While refining this philosophy, Holmes gave lectures, held study groups, and eventually helped establish the Institute of Religious Science and School of Philosophy in 1927, in Los Angeles, California.
-
Although Ernest Holmes never intended to establish a church, many people who attended his lectures sought the continuity and fellowship of weekly Science of Mind gatherings. The Institute of Religious Science, now known as Centers for Spiritual Living (CSL), currently has a total of over 400 churches and study groups, located throughout the United States and in 16 countries.

The Austin Center for Spiritual Living has been an affiliated member of CSL since 1981.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
THERE IS ONE SOURCE, OR GOD, FOR EVERYTHING IN THE UNIVERSE
-
This One Source is a kind of mind, a kind of consciousness or intelligence, which is always present, everywhere.
-
The One Source constantly expresses itself by being creative.
-
Each creation is an act of love -- the creation seeks to exist, and persist, in its highest and best form. In this way the One Source acts as a force for Good in the universe.
-
All creations are connected with each other, and with the One Source.
HUMANS ARE SPIRITUAL BEINGS
-
Humans have been blessed with a high level of consciousness. We are even aware of our own consciousness, aware of our own awareness.
-
Each of us is aware of our own unique talents, and we want to express this uniqueness by being creative.
-
At the same time we are aware that our self-expression comes from the One Source. God is expressing itself through us.
-
We are aware that all humans are spiritually equal; we all have the same spiritual potential.
-
We are aware that we always can express more of our spirituality -- be more creative, more loving, more forgiving, etc. In this sense our spiritual qualities are infinite.
AS SPIRITUAL BEINGS, WE SEEK THE TRUTH
-
We seek to think and speak the truth about the relationship between the One Source and human life.
-
Our intelligence, our creativity, our ability to love -- all our spiritual gifts help us discern how to respond to our life conditions, which are constantly changing.
-
We are aware that we always have choices about what to think, to say, and to do. We always have choices about how to respond to a particular condition.
WE ARE DEEPLY GRATEFUL FOR EVERY BLESSING, ESPECIALLY OUR SPIRITUALITY, AND WE THANK gOD FOR THE DAILY OPPORTUNITIES TO EXERCISE OUR DIVINITY
