INSIDE BOOKS
Inside Books is an Austin-based community service volunteer organization that sends free books and educational materials to prisioners in Texas. Inside Books is the only books-to-prisoners program in Texas, where over 120,000 people are incarcerated. Inside Books Project works to promote reading, literacy and education among incarcerated individuals, and to educate the general public on the issues of incarceration.
PHOENIX CENTER
The Phoenix Center was founded in the belief every child should have access to hope, healing and exemplary mental health care. The Center works to meet the needs of children who have experienced trauma. Their program includes Counseling and Therapeutic groups utilizing music, art, yoga and animal-assisted therapy. They work closely with the families, including research-based parenting groups.
SERVING THE COMMUNITY
On a Saturday in June, several members of Austin Center for Spiritual Living had lunch at Gino's Italian Restaurant in Round Rock. Then we met at the Adcock's home and made play-dough infused with Essential Oils.

We stirred and stirred and smushed and smashed
and added the wonderful Essential Oils. And
Sarah, from the Phoenix Center, was very happy to get the colorful aromatherapy play-dough!
