But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

A Balloon!
A three-year-old boy, just home from visiting his cousin, ran up to his mother saying, “Mommy! Mommy! I know what I wanna be when I grow up! I wanna be a doctor!”
“Really?” responded his mother. “What will you do when you’re a doctor?” He said, “I’m gonna make people well by looking them over and giving them a balloon!”
For Christmas his parents gave him a doctor’s kit duly supplied with balloons. How delightfully naive of the child! If only our outlook could be simple like his. In this way, our eye would be single and our bodies filled with light, for our minds need not be so complicated and complex. By our focusing on one thing only, such as a spiritual healing, the healing would automatically occur without any contradictions.
I know of a man who was ill with an “incurable” disease. His wife and children decided they would pray for him to get well. His little four-year-old girl got down on her knees and said, “Thank you, God. Daddy’s well!” The mother then said to her six-year-old son, “Now it’s your turn to pray.” The boy responded with alacrity, “Why should I? She said it all!” (P.S. The father was back to work in one month.)
So the next time we are faced with a “patient,” be it man, woman, or child, or even ourselves, we should be sure to offer a balloon.
Today I become as a little child — open, receptive, and simple.
My faith is so perfect,
so unshakable,
and so complete,
that through me God works miracles!
Amen.
