God Will Take Care of Me

I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.

— Psalm 4:8

The armor of God suggests protection to those who believe in and trust the law of good.

God Will Take Care of Me

I know a young Korean man whose father is a minister in Korea. This minister has an enormous amount of faith in God and consistently communes with Divine Mind. During the Korean War he was often a target for execution because of the great amount of spiritual influence he had on many people. The enemy felt threatened by such influence.

The minister had numerous miraculous escapes during that war. On one occasion he appeared to have been shot through the heart. When he didn’t fall over or even flinch, rumors began to be circulated that he was superhuman. Upon investigation, it was discovered that he had a Bible in his pocket through which the bullet penetrated and stopped, just as it reached Revelation.

On another occasion he was eating in a restaurant using his chopsticks, which, to a Korean is second nature, as is the use of silverware to an American. All at once he accidentally dropped his chopsticks on the floor, something that probably had seldom happened to him since childhood. As he bent over to pick them up, a bullet whizzed by the place where his head would have been.

Now, how about you? Are you all prayed up? Have you recharged your faith-battery today, and do you do so every time it begins to run down? If you do this, then and only then will you be able to sing, “God will take care of me, through every day, o’er all the way; He will take care of me, God will take care of me!”

God takes care of me because I let Him, and I love Him, and I trust Him.

I am afraid of nothing because His everlasting arms support me.

What a relief and what a joy to put my entire trust in Him.

Thank You, Father!
