Free Stuff
Religious Science has a five-step affirmative prayer called spiritual mind treatment, and it really works! We do not supplicate nor beg God to answer our prayers. Nor do we bargain with God to fulfill our desires. Instead, we KNOW the spiritual Truth about a situation and we speak our word, ignoring all appearances.
Roberta and her husband hardly had any furniture. They had just been introduced to Science of Mind. They desperately wanted a bedroom set more than anything. Their human personalities said to each other: “Some day! (sigh).” Yet, even while they were sighing, their spiritual selves decided to do a spiritual mind treatment knowing that a bedroom set was theirs right now. They went for a drive around the neighborhood. They drove by a house that had all sorts of furniture on the lawn and driveway. They saw a gorgeous bed, dressers, headboard and mattresses — JUST WHAT THEY HAD BEEN LOOKING FOR. They got out of the car to see the price. A sign on it said “FREE STUFF.” They immediately tied it on their compact car and drove home 10 miles per hour. The next week in the window of a fancy furniture store they saw the exact same set. The price? $3000.00!
Today I know without a doubt that God gives me my life. I also know that God gives me my dwelling, and furnishes these wonderful gifts with everything I could possibly need to lead a rich, fulfilling, beautiful existence. I am blessed!
