Today Is My Turnover Day

But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee.

— John 11:22

My mind now releases all sense of burden or strain.

Today Is My Turnover Day

Mike was a 75-year-old spiritual man who believed in God, understood the principles of Science of Mind, but forgot. He had been receiving disability insurance from the Veterans Administration for years. All of a sudden, he got a notice that his payments would be reduced to 25% of what he had regularly been receiving. He was stunned. All thoughts of God, Science of Mind, or anything spiritual were catapulted out of his consciousness. Mike hired a lawyer and began to fight this decision. He lost. He and his lawyer appealed his case. He lost again. This went on for several years. The decision was always the same. “It is our policy,” said the Veterans Administration, “and there’s nothing we can do about it.”

One day, Mike had an inner wake-up call. He remembered Spirit. At that moment, he decided to let go and let God. He literally forgot about the whole thing. Shortly thereafter, he met and fell in love with a wonderful woman. He had never been so happy.

Last week, Mike decided to call his bank to find out how much money he had in his checking account. He was told, “Your balance is $92,534.22.” Mike almost fainted. He went directly to his bank and discovered that a $92,000 deposit had been made by the Veterans Administration. It seems a new manager had re-opened Mike’s case, and found Mike’s payments had been wrongfully reduced. So they added up all the retroactive funds, and deposited them electronically into his checking account.

Today is my turnover day. I turn my entire life over to Spirit. With God, all things are possible. I expect only good, and I receive it. I am it and I accept it. And so it is.
